Where did my weekend go? I know that we “fell back” today and gained an hour, but I don’t feel it. In fact, i feel more like I lost a day or two or three, maybe more? Seriously, I had big plans for productivity this weekend. I’m actually on duty all weekend, which prevents me from going out and doing much of anything. Staying in can be boring, but it can also be productive. But I haven’t been productive. Granted, I did get around to visiting a good number of blogs and attempting to catch up on what was going on in the blogosphere, but I haven’t gotten much reading or homework done.
So I am dedicating this wonderful Sunday to research on Coleridge and The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, some light blogging, some heavy reading (I hope I can finish Mercury in Retrograde today or tomorrow) and maybe a light nap. It’s a very ambitious plan, but you have all inspired me. I know that many of you do so much more than I do and still manage to read a couple books a week. This really makes me feel like a slacker. Like, HELLO! Jennifer, you can do so much more if you just concentrate and stop procrastinating! So here’s to ending procrastination in the month of November! After all, I need to pop out a 50,000 word novel by the end of the month for NaNoWriMo. I know that I failed the RIP challenge miserably, but I’m not going to fail anymore! It’s time to push my way to success! And I’m not taking the RIP challenge of my list either. I will complete the challenge even if it is way past the deadline!
Yes, I’m feeling motivated and energized. I have my coffee and I’m ready to rock and rumble!
Cut yourself some slack – you have a lot going on and can only do so much! It sounds like you’re working hard in a lot of areas to me.
Oh I totally failed the RIP challenge too. I finished 1 book out of the 4 I said I would.
I also am going to attempt nanowrimo. Hah. If I don’t finish I can just say it’s a first year thing. =) I’m jennala9 on there if you want to add a buddy!
Will definitely add you. We can motivate each other!
Jenn…it sounds like you have a lot going on, so don’t be too hard on yourself. This reading thing should be fun, not pressure 🙂
Wow–all of that and nanowrimo too. Give yourself a break. I am impressed, though. Good luck!
